Stephan Thelen: “This is my favorite piece. It has a spiritual quality and I love how David soars like an eagle over the constantly-shifting groove. It’s based on a ridiculously complex rhythm, but flows very naturally.”
David Torn: “You’ll hear me reharmonizing things and carefully crafting improvised ambiences on this. These things created a feeling of suspense. You’ll also find me playing melodies that are harmonically different from Stephan’s writing, not unlike the more open improvisations I did when I was with the Jan Garbarek band.”

This is a quite outstanding opus magnus of Mr Thelen and his associate musicians. Musical and muscular prowess meet groove and melody. Highly recommended hypnotic stuff! Frank Hadlich

An amazing follow-up to Fractal Guitar. I came across Fractal Guitar as a fan of Markus Reuter, and after downloading that had to go ahead and download all the other music Stephan has on Bandcamp. Love this stuff... crimlarks

Wow. Tough to pick a favorite, it's all just so good. Amazing. I will be finding the rest of their catalog, for sure. Some of the best stuff I've listened to lately... jeff paper
